About Strickland Insurance Group
Strickland
Insurance Group, Inc. can trace its roots back to its start as a
retail agency and a wholesale agency back in 1969. Strickland
Insurance and Realty, Inc. was incorporated in January 1970 by
merging three retail agencies and forming a managing general agency:
C. Brantley Strickland Insurance and Realty, Farrell Insurance
Agency, Auto Insurance Agency and Strickland Insurance Brokers
(SIB). We adopted our current name, Strickland Insurance Group (SIG)
in 1992.
Over the years, the group had represented
many different non-standard auto companies and the decision was made
to form its own company. Atlantic Casualty Insurance Company was
formed in November of 1983. Considerable growth of our automobile
program saw the formation of Atlantic Indemnity in 1990 and Atlantic
Security Insurance Company in 1992. In 1998, SIG sold its personal
auto divisions, which were writing in excess of $110 million in
premiums and operating in seven states. Post sale, Atlantic Casualty
and Strickland Insurance Brokers remained under the group’s
ownership.
Today,
Atlantic Casualty
is authorized to write business on a non-admitted basis in 49
states and the District of Columbia, and operates as an admitted
carrier in our state of domicile, North Carolina. Its product lines include Commercial Auto
(NC only), Commercial General Liability, Inland Marine, and
Commercial Property. Its products are sold exclusively through over 100 wholesale
agents. Atlantic Casualty has offices located in
Goldsboro, NC, Hartford, CT, Scottsdale, AZ, and Philadelphia, PA.
Strickland Insurance Brokers
is a wholesale general agency and operates in North Carolina, Virginia,
South Carolina, Delaware and Tennessee. Its product lines include most all commercial lines
and are sold through over 1,500 retailers. If you would like more
